Annual Fees at present are £10.00 per year (£5.00 for OAP's, lady members and the disabled), juniors free membership.
This region currently has around 20 members. As well as the monthly meeting, we try to arrange a monthly piking trip, to a variety of waters. We try to vary this between waters we have never fished, and waters we know we should catch on for the given time of year. This sometimes includes PAC privileged access waters such as at Wakefield.
We also try to get at least 3 guest speakers through out the year, usually in the winter months (see elsewhere on this site for details).
The region has a selection of books and videos for the members to use. There is also a regional news letter, which at present is published monthly.
The region is a member of the Tyneside Anglers Alliance (TAA). This organization represents the interests of coarse angling clubs from Northumberland to Cleveland. Being a member give clubs an opportunity to contribute to surveys from the like of MAFF and the Environment Agency on possible angling law changes. It also helps to keep use up to date with the latest developments in angling, and make sure that the voice of pike angling is heard, and our opinions are taken into account.
As members of the TAA our members have access to TAA waters at no extra charge to the clubs yearly subscription. For details of TAA waters see menu on left or visit the TAA website. TAA membership does not include access to other TAA member club's waters.
This region has over the last four to five years working with the Liaison officer has raised over £3707.00 for charity. With the latest cheque for £600.00 being presented to MacMillan Nurses, at Piking 2000 in Manchester.
